Can AI models understand subjective visual qualities such as beauty, without reducing them to universalized metrics?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My talk at the 2026 MIT AI Conference Research Slam was centered around that very question. Drawing on my research on subjective urban evaluation, I demonstrated how individualized scales can be used to meaningfully capture and compute ambiguous concepts that lack standardized definitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
