The Tomb of Khan – i Jahan Tilangani
The tomb of Khan i Jahan Tilangani, Prime Minister to Sultan Firoze Shah Tughlaq is of immense architectural importance as it is the first tomb to incorporate an octagonal plan form. It lies tucked away deep within Nizamuddin village in Delhi, and is not known even to many local residents. I paid a visit to the tomb recently, and found it to be in a pitiable state of repair.
